I use countdown timers like these all the time. I have ADD and I also have a lot of memory issues, so I use timers to remind me to take things out of the oven, washing machine, dryer, etc. I have also been timing myself doing different activities as it helps me stay on track and not get distracted. I also use this with the kids a lot; for example, we use this timer each night when the kids are required to read for 30 minutes. It is very compact, easy to use, and it has large numbers that even I have no trouble seeing in spite of my bad eyesight. It is light and simple, so even the kids can use it themselves. A particularly nice feature is that it is magnetized, so I can stick it on the fridge or to the filing cabinet next to my desk. Overall, I'm still very pleased with this product and I would highly recommend it.
