Pentex Ultra-Photography Photo Camera Cleaning Pen Review

I have written about this before, but my husband is a photographer and we own a lot of very high-end cameras and lenses that require proper maintenance. This is a nice accessory tool that is great for cleaning your camera or lenses. It is super lightweight and very compact; you can easily fit it into your pocket or camera bag. The brush also retracts, which makes it easy to keep the bristles clean and protected. It does a good job of cleaning your camera, so overall, I think that this is a nice functional and affordable tool and I would highly recommend it.

Bluetooth Selfie Stick by Gnome Workshop Review

We have heard a lot about selfies in recent years; I have to say that while my husband and I are avid photographers, we don’t usually like to be in our photos, so we weren’t into all of the hype about selfies. At the same time, we do have a pretty great appreciation for anything related to photography. We also try to travel a couple of times a year without the kids and we try to take some photos on each trip, so we could see how having a selfie stick could come in handy.

This is the third selfie stick that I have tried, but I was particularly impressed and pleased by the design of this particular selfie stick. It has built in Bluetooth capability and it was pretty easy to pair it with my smartphone. The phone mount is also very sturdy and all of our phones (iPhone 5, iPhone6, LG G2, Galaxy Mega, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, iPhone 6 Plus) all fit perfectly. The handle is pretty long (it’s adjustable) and the button is in the handle and works like a remote, so it’s very convenient to use. While most of the other selfie sticks that we have seen have plastic arms, this one has a stainless steel arm, which is stronger and more durable. I feel confident using this to hold our expensive devices. Overall, I'm really pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

Camtrek Pro DSLR-8CXi Camera Bag Sling Review

I have written about this before, but my husband is a photographer. We have owned a studio for many years, and even though we aren't as involved in the day-to-day anymore, he still enjoys taking pictures and likes to go on shoots at least once every few months. When you shoot events like weddings or fashion shows, you need to have comfortable and functional gear. We have tried a lot of different camera bags over the years, so we were excited about giving this Camtrek Pro DSLR-8CXi Camera Bag Sling a try. This is a nice accessory bag for light use or in combination with a larger equipment bag. For example, my husband usually takes a pretty large equipment bag with him to weddings, but he would put the large bag down somewhere and wear this Camtrek Pro bag around with just a couple of lenses, batteries, memory cards, etc. The bag is very comfortable to wear and has a lot of handy compartments and zippered pockets including a slot for a bottle of water, a pocket for your phone, etc. The body compartment is padded to protect your gear and our Olympus DSLR camera fits in it nicely. Overall, I was quite pleased with this bag. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the logo. It stands out a little too much making it almost look like a promotional bag you'd get at a tradeshow. Still, I think that this is a nice functional and affordable bag and I would highly recommend it.
