We decided to get this a dash cam like this one after we visited Asia last year. When we stopped in Korea, we found that most cars there have cameras like these. In talking to a friend who lives there, we were impressed to hear that it's rare for people to argue after getting in car accidents because of these cameras. I have to confess that we forgot about getting one when we came home, but we had a couple of break-ins and thought it was really time to invest in one. I was very pleased with this one because of its compact size and great features. It has motion detection and parking mode and it automatically turns on when you start your car. If you are in an accident, you can take it out to take pictures. It has GPS recording, time stamps, and the lens is a wide angle lens, all of which is definitely handy. It even records audio and I found the sound and video to be quite clear. I do have to say that I don't think I would need the audio recording much, but it's a nice bonus feature. Overall, I am very happy with this product and I highly recommend it.
