One cause that I am very serious about is bullying in schools. My nephew, goddaughter and godson are both autistic and I know how much they suffer from low self esteem. This bear is so soft and cute; I like that it is hypoallergenic. It is designed to help kids develop confidence and deal with things like bullying, isolation, rejection, etc. It comes with access to a story that teaches kids that it is okay to be yourself. It is very important to really talk with your kids about this instead of just handing them the bear and assuming they'll understand the concept. I think that this is a great way to gently address these difficult topics with kids - not just autistic kids, but any kids with low self-esteem. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.
