We've been hearing so much about the benefits of smart home devices that my husband and I have been very curious about setting up some "smart" appliances in our home. I was very excited to find this smart plug/outlet because it would allow us to make one of our existing appliances "smart." It is very easy to set up. You have to download the TuyaSmart app, which I found to be quite user friendly. I am using it on my personal cell phone, which is an Android, so I got the app from the Google Play Store. We are currently using it to control a large tower fan in the den. Our pets tend to nap there throughout the day, so I wanted to be able to control the temperature in the room, and this smart plug allows me to do just that! It's very cool to be able to turn the fan on and off using my cell phone. This allows me to make sure that we don't waste energy or money when the temperature isn't too high or when our pets aren't in that room. Overall, I’m very pleased with this find and we will certainly continue using it! In fact, I want to get another one for the air purifier in our kids' room.
