Easy@Home Digital Basal Thermometer Review

To give you some background information (without TMI), I have a lot of hormonal problems that have given me serious problems. Infertility was a huge issue for us; I don’t usually get my period for months and when it does come, it comes without warning. My gynecologist diagnosed me with a hormonal condition and he advised me to chart my basal body temperature in conjunction with ovulation tests to try to figure out if/when I will get my period and to help us try for another child.

Basically, you would use a basal thermometer to take your temperature as soon as you wake up in the morning. You are supposed to do this before you move or even sit up as even the slightest activity can throw off your temperature. I keep this thermometer on the night table next to my bed. You then record your measurements at around the same time every day until you see an increase in your temperature (usually between 0.5 and 1 degree). This rise will tell you that ovulation has occurred.

This particular thermometer is great. The large blue screen is really easy to read, even in the dark (it lights up), so you don't even need to turn the light on to take your reading. It can store up to 60 readings and includes the date and time, which is awesome since I often forget to write my measurement down right away. It also has an alarm clock that reminds you to take your measurement. I really like the case it comes in. Overall, I think that this is an excellent product and I am very pleased with it; I highly recommend it!
